A great old accent piece.
A couple of small strings will make the seat usable with a cushion, or have it restrung.
Old leather/gut used on this original, early chair, from the 1860;s
This chair has the unusual and rarer back supports. not the connections left and right, just enough elegance to raise it above the peasant level.
The old paint is wonderful, crackly,but not all dried and peeling. A real find.
