Antiques, recycling, and historic preservation
Tags:BLOG, vince's blogYup, we’ve been “antiques recyclers” for the past 30 years, and I presume my earlier generations, my Dad, and his parents too. It’s a glorious mission and lifestyle. It includes thrift, respect, love, determination, and the ability to see the intrinsic value of other people’s products. If anyone knows the meaning of GREEN, we certainly do.
So does the town of Aurora, in ONtario.
I came across this today. Towns like Aurora are at the forefront with some
historic conservation measures: they’ve even taken steps to EXTEND that
from just buildings to the materials too. I invite you to have a look

A program such as this could put some antiques and salvage operations out of business, perhaps including our — but the overriding intention is too good to fight against, dontcha think?
