Indian Caverns, route 45, Spruce Creek. Pa. U.S.A. Two wonderful old signs, We’re guessing they’re the licence plates from the old train cars that ran through the caverns? information at http://www.indiancaverns.com/History.html

Cambridge%20Antiques%20Green%20Spot%20TwoJJs

We have been told these “These license plates were attached to all vehicles that visited our caverns for many years.  We stopped the practice in the mid-70′s when the cost of the metal became too great to give away.  We screened these on the premises and still have them for sale in our gift shop.”  by the current owners of the Indian Caverns.

thanx, Craig. They’re certainly beauts. I didn’t measure yet, but they seem to be about 8 inches. We don’t see these often (and really seldom in groups of 4 when NOT on doors).. These were found in a basement locally tucked away among a dozen cats.

yes.. you heard right, cats :-)
