This is an usual interesting piece.  I believe it to be an antique butter stamp or butter press.  The design looks like a scottish thistle.  The stamp is made of clay and has a nice teal green color glaze of the clay.  It’s neat.  The handle part of the stamp fits nicely into you thumb and first three finger has a natural fit.  I don’t know but to say it is cool.
