as is, not cleaned, this sterling silver set is magnificent. Imagine it thoroughly cleaned ! This is a magnificent 4 pieces Indian sterling silver tea set with beautiful and its in excellent condition in repousse with no initials or monograms, all ready for your own! from Kutch area made by a master silversmith. Comprised of tea pot, sugar bowl, creamer, and small bowl for crackers or cookies. The upper and lower portions of each piece is ornamented with impressived chased leaf decorated borders , even the bottoms of thei pieces, see picts. each piece carries a shield, never monogrammed, and ready for your own. The tea pot measures 6 inches height, by 8 3/4 inches wide, The top lifts and fits snugly, although it has a little play and you just jig it into place to close tight. Top of pot has elephant Otherwise EXCELLENTthe other pieces have very slight dings to edges (it is finely worked thin silver, so to be expected after 100 years eh?) You can see most of these in the pictures. and all together they weight 934 grams.The Service is from the days of the Indian Raj probably from the Kutch region…Made in Solid Silver..the teapot is fitted with a domed hinged cover and ornamented with further scrolling leaf decorations and surmounted with the original elephant finial. . An exceptional snake shaped spout ornamented also.A must see!
